What is Thermotherapy?
Often referred to as thermotherapy, the therapeutic use of heat to heal muscles is an age-old recipe. Today, better than a hot water bottle or a scarf around your neck, there are new ways to warm up your muscles to relax them.
What could be more commonplace than a very hot bath after a effort ? Or a hot water bottle on a stiff neck? 70% of the French population regularly suffers from muscle pain, and particularly localized in the back. For relief, heat is often used.
heat decreases the efficiency of transmission of nerve messages. Thus, pain sensations have difficulty passing from the heated area to the brain. This is why a rise in temperature also has a fairly rapid analgesic effect.
Until then there were only balms and more recently patches, which made it possible to relieve pain alone. The rapid evolution of portable heat technology, allows more people to have access to the latest innovations.
